Meet the Team.

  • Rev Dr. Rich Wenden

    Senior Minister

Rich is married to Juliet and they have three kids – Rory, Hamish, and Claire. Before moving to Seaforth, Rich was the Senior Minister at the Anglican Church in Cronulla. Having served there for ten years the black, white, and blue of the Cronulla Sharks are in his veins.

Rich enjoys cheering on the mighty Sydney Swans, good coffee, listening to music, and spending time with his family at the beach. Rich is an accredited Sports Chaplain with Life Saving Chaplaincy Australia, and serves as the honorary chaplain to Queenscliff SLSC .

He loves sharing the good news of Jesus and seeing people become followers of Jesus and grow in their love for Him.

  • Brendan Leighton

    Youth & Young Adults Minister

Brendan is married to Alejandra, they have two kids: his favourite daughter Lily and his favourite son Theo. They also have a Groodle named Dashi who is the perfect balance of friendly and dopey. Brendan grew up in the Sutherland Shire and became a Christian when he was 17 through an evangelistic event called RICE which was the first step on the path to where he is today.

As a family they enjoy exploring, whether it’s the bush or the beach. Brendan also loves board games, video games and novels.

They have served across Sydney as well as some time in Darwin which all played a part in Brendan beginning the process of ordination into the Anglican Church.

His own story of coming to Christ as a late teen has put a desire in his heart to see other young people grow in their own faith in Jesus or to have the chance to come and know Jesus and all he has done for them. He hopes that in knowing Christ people can find purpose in a world that does disappoint, but that has a hope beyond it, which comes with a new life and purpose in it.
