The Marriage Course

The Marriage Course is for couples who are married or in a committed relationship and interested in investing time in their relationship. You will learn how to communicate more effectively and improve how you can resolve differences as a couple. It will be held on Tuesday evenings for 7 weeks via Zoom, 7:15 pm – 9:15 pm, starting on Tuesday 21 May and finishing on Tuesday 2nd July 2024.

Quick Overview
• Each session lasts for 1 hour 55 minutes, half of which will be for your conversations.
• The session starts by welcoming everyone online. Couples then watch a dynamic and practical video which includes time for private discussion between you and your partner.
• Booklets with conversation topics and helpful worksheets are provided.
• When doing it online at home, don’t forget the candles, snacks, drinks, any older kids in another room and the younger ones in bed. Try to make it feel as special as possible.
Cost:  $50 per couple which covers the cost of two booklets which can be picked up from Seaforth Anglican Church or delivered to your home.

For questions about the course, please contact the Course Facilitator, Jill Wrathall at [email protected] or 0413 605 289 or go to the website: marriagecourse.org.au
If you’re unsure, join for week 1 and don’t pay till you’ve done the 1 st session and decide then whether you’ll continue.
This course is for everyone – whether church-connected or not. Please promote it with your friends, neighbours and relatives.

I found the session on Forgiveness very powerful. I realised I was holding grudges which was really
unhealthy and it helped me to see the power of forgiveness and moving on.
Even though the couple running the course are obviously Christians, the content was applicable for
everyone. I honestly think couples from all backgrounds will find the course so professional and
extremely beneficial.
I thought that going to a Marriage Course might make us look like we had major troubles in our
relationship. I realised that couples who do the course are people who value their relationship and
just want to make their relationship even better.
I was pleasantly surprised. I was feeling apprehensive but when I realised there’s no sharing with
anyone else other than my partner, that made all the difference.
